meET Project MARCH
Project MARCH is searching for new teammembers for the academic year 2018-2019! The application procedure for MARCH IV has started! Do you want to give your transition year both a fun and sensible interpretation? Then take on the challenge and design the ultimate exoskeleton within one year together with a group of new people.
Project MARCH wants to give back full mobility to people with a spinal cord injury by means of an exoskeleton. This robotic harness, This motoric harness, developed with the latest technology and robotics, makes it possible for paraplegics to stand up and to walk again. And hopefully much more in the future. Do you want to contribute to the rising exoskeleton technology, which can drastically improve the lives of people with paraplegia? Then, together with a team of extremely motivated students, take on the challenge of building a renewed and improved type of exoskeleton within one year. So that in the future people with a spinal cord injury no longer are tied to a wheelchair!
At the end of the year, the new prototype is subjected to the ultimate test: The Cybathlon. In these paralympic bionic games there is a special race for exoskeletons. Here, paraplegics contend with their exoskeleton to bridge all seven obstacles that people in a wheelchair experience on a daily basis. Here, the MARCH exoskeleton is not only tested on speed, but also for everyday usability and usability.
