Public Relations Coordinator

You will make sure that Project MARCH's exoskeleton will be propagated to the rest of the world!

How do you make sure the exoskeleton walks

As Public Relations Coordinator you make sure that as many people as possible will get to hear about Project MARCH. You do this by arranging that we will be present at many external events, that we will be interviewed, that we give presentations at different occasions and that the press wants to write about us. You will ensure that there will be no one that has not yet heard of Project MARCH!

What you will do as Public Relations Coordinator

As Public Relations Coordinator you are responsible for the coordination of the internal and external events. Together with the rest of the Operations Department you will organise our own internal events, for example the Design Presentation and the Exoskeleton Reveal. Besides our own events, you are the person that represents Project MARCH at external events. External events are for example fairs and presentations. You negotiate with organizers who want Project MARCH to come to their event. And you also agree on who of your teammates will go to each event and coordinate that everything goes well, such as a presentation that might have to be given. Besides coordinating them, you are often the person who is present at the event!

You will seek and approach the press, and investigate whether they want to write about Project MARCH. Furthermore, you coordinate all press requests, match the right people to journalists wishes, discuss the interviews in advance, and you will also be the person who checks all written articles before they are published. During Project MARCH's own events, you will be the one who writes press releases and who makes sure that as much press as possible is present at the event.

On a daily basis you will mainly be busy with attending meetings, preparing upcoming events, answering emails and making phone calls. Your focus will be Public Relations, but you will work closely together with the rest of your department: the Marketing Coordinator, the UX/UI Designer and the Partnerships Coordinator. You will work together a lot and support each other in your functions, by for example writing texts together, brainstorming about events and coming up with new exposure.
