Doris Vermaat
As the Motion Planning Engineer, Doris focuses on improving and developing methods for self-balanced walking, ensuring that the exoskeleton can move with greater stability and autonomy. As part of the Software Department, she also contributes to broader developments that enhance overall system performance. In addition, she is a member of the Input Device Development Team, where she explores ways to improve the interaction between the user and the exoskeleton, driven by her interest in intuitive and effective interfaces.
With a background in Computer Science, Doris is eager to apply her theoretical knowledge to real-world applications. Having previously worked mainly on computer applications, she is now excited to expand her expertise by contributing to large-scale control systems. Alongside her studies, she has been active in several committees within her study and sports associations, experiences that strengthened her enjoyment of teamwork and collaboration toward common goals.
Doris looks forward to seeing the exoskeleton come to life, not only as a technological achievement but also as a tool that can change lives. For her, Project MARCH is more than just a technical challenge, it is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful innovation that combines engineering, teamwork, and user-centered design.
