Tom Klein

As a Human Engineer, Tom plays a crucial role in ensuring that the exoskeleton is not only functional but also comfortable and medically beneficial for our pilot, Daan. He’s the bridge between the technology and the pilot’s experience, making sure that walking in the exoskeleton is as safe and user-friendly as possible. In this role, he collaborates closely with the Sint Maartenskliniek to guarantee the best possible care.

His background in Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft, combined with a minor in Medicine, provides him with a unique mix of technical knowledge, medical insight, and strong social skills. This enables him to connect with both the pilot and the team, while valuing social interaction, teamwork, and the opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking project with a direct impact on people’s lives.

Tom joined Project MARCH to gain practical experience, develop professionally, and collaborate with a large multidisciplinary team. He sees Project March as a year in which he can develop himself in ways a regular master could not do. For the future, he aspires to work in a medical environment where he can make a difference with his unique blend of design and technical skills.
