Lisa Postema

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, Lisa plays an important role in designing and developing the frame, joints and covers of the exoskeleton, while also bringing these different components together and integrating them into a complete mechanical system. What she particularly enjoys is gaining knowledge and seeing the process of turning ideas into reality.

With a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Lisa is looking forward to putting her knowledge into practice while also gaining more hands-on experience and broadening her skills. Her own experience with rehabilitation technology makes working on this project especially meaningful to her, as she knows firsthand how important and impactful technology can be in supporting people in their daily lives.

What attracted Lisa to Project MARCH is the opportunity to show how much can be achieved and innovated in just one year, while working together with a motivated interdisciplinary team towards a shared and meaningful social goal. Through her role as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Lisa is proud to be part of the development of an exoskeleton that can improve the quality of life for people with paraplegia.
