Lucas Paasschens

As Partnerships Coordinator, Lucas is the key link between Project MARCH and its partners. He is responsible for maintaining existing relationships and acquiring new collaborations to ensure sufficient funding for the development of the exoskeleton. As part of the Operations department, he is also actively involved in organizing events and managing various organizational aspects of the team.

His background in Clinical Technology, combined with his transition to Biomedical Engineering, sparked his interest for Project MARCH. He is especially fascinated by the combination of technology and medicine, and by how engineering can be used to improve people's health and quality of life. Project MARCH brings together exactly these interests by combining engineering, medical knowledge and innovation in the development of an exoskeleton for people with paraplegia.

During the year, Lucas aims to develop a broad understanding of the exoskeleton and its different subsystems work, allowing him to confidently represent Project MARCH towards its partners. Furthermore, he wants to develop his professional communication to build strong and lasting relationships with partners. By contributing to those collaborations, he wants to bring technology and healthcare closer together and support life-changing innovations.
