Zoey Jongen
As Human Engineer, Zoey is responsible for ensuring that the exoskeleton is fully tailored to the needs of the pilot(s). Bridging the gap between the functionality of the exoskeleton and the comfort of the pilot(s), she strives to make the user experience as safe and smooth as possible. In her role, she collaborates closely with medical professionals from the Sint Maartenskliniek to provide the best possible care.
Having finished her Bachelor’s in Industrial Design Engineering, Zoey aims to apply both her design and communication skills to the project. Through hands-on prototyping and testing with users during her studies, she developed an interest in designing solutions that not only function well, but also fit the needs of the people using them. Her experience in a robotics team has further taught her how to communicate effectively and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. She joined Project MARCH to put these skills into practice in a real-world challenge with a strong social impact.
This year, she aims to deepen her knowledge of mechanical engineering, explore her interest in medical design and gain more experience in translating user needs into functional designs. She looks forward to learning from the expertise within the team and developing her skills as a designer.
