Anna Simon

Anna Simon is very open minded, a creative- and outside the box thinker, easily inspired and always very curious. Before coming to the Netherlands for her studies, she had lived in France all her life, growing up in Sommières. Her hobbies include painting and dancing, and she has always had a deep passion for design. This is why she joined MARCH as one of our Design Engineers.

As a Design Engineers she is responsible for designing the visual aspects of the exoskeleton that people directly interact with. She designs the covers, the user interface, and the overall look and feel, which are crucial in shaping people's perceptions of our exoskeleton. Additionally, she will be working on the Input Device (IPD) to help the pilot control the exoskeleton during the Cybathlon, ensuring it's both quick and intuitive to operate. She will also play a role in (re)designing other aids to help complete obstacles more efficiently.

Anna's choice of this role is driven by her strong desire to enhance her design skills. She aims to improve her modeling abilities and her capacity to visualize how a product should look and function, as well as how to implement her ideas effectively. Moreover, she is excited to see how her role contributes to the integration of various parts and departments within the exoskeleton project.

She knew already a long time ago that she wanted to do a dreamteam, because she was really interested in being part of a bigger project and learn how many motivated people work together smoothly to create something innovative. Furthermore she was really interested in being part of a project that had a focus on the human side of things, seeing the smile on the different pilots faces that were finally standing again made her very wanting to help in this domain.
