Jiska van Olden

This year Jiska has taken on the role of the UX/UI designer of Project MARCH. There are a few specific traits that are required for this role, and without a doubt, Jiska is the best person for this function. She is tremendously creative, assertive, a go-getter, and always optimistic. This does not only show in the work that she does, but also within the team, where she is able to always see the positive in people, where she helps everybody where necessary, and where she is able to convince everyone to join her for her favourite hobby: going out with friends!

Jiska joined Project MARCH not only to broaden her horizon by working in such a big and diverse team for an entire year, but also because she has a passion for combining tech and medicine, which she found out during her minor programme Biomedical Engineering. She finds Project MARCH to be unique as a student team because you can directly see the impact you make on the live of someone with a spinal cord injury, and she is proud of the fact that she can devote a year to help make this impact.

One of her personal goals for this year is to improve working with digital tools like Blender, Adobe and Canva. She also wants to experience what it is like to work a full-time job for a year, and she wants to see if this kind of work is something that she would enjoy doing after her Masters Degree in Industrial Design.
