Max Lauf

Max Lauf is very easy-going, always cheerful, optimistic, and ambitious – qualities that perfectly suit his role as Chief Engineer. As Chief Engineer, he holds ultimate responsibility for the project's technical aspects. He possesses comprehensive knowledge of all exoskeleton subsystems, from joints to electronics, software to hardware, and maintains a holistic view of the entire system. This enables him to support engineering teams, manage critical interfaces, and make crucial top-level decisions.

His responsibilities extend to developing collaboration methods, organizing the team, creating project phase plans, assessing technical work quality, overseeing interfaces, and guiding the team toward effective solutions. Max chose this position because he has a passion for project management, enjoys problem-solving and brainstorming, and relishes the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the exoskeleton project.

His goals for the year are twofold. Firstly, he aims to enhance his communication skills, as effective communication is essential in managing a diverse team of multidisciplinary individuals to ensure everyone feels comfortable and well-informed. Secondly, as the first Chief Engineer with a computer science background, he seeks opportunities to leverage his unique skills and make a significant impact on the project.
