Mick de Groot

Mick de Groot was raised in Amsterdam and has a strong penchant for keeping everything under control. He has a passion for activities such as rugby, kitesurfing, and motorcycling, and he also serves as one of our Control Engineers. As a Control Engineer, his role involves translating the outcomes and simulations from the software department into real-world movements for the exoskeleton. To be effective in this role, he needs to have a comprehensive understanding of the entire system.

From a young age, he has held a keen interest in prosthetics, particularly those with active components that assist users with added motors. For this reason, he views Project MARCH as a perfect and challenging opportunity that aligns well with his interests. It also serves as a stepping stone for him to explore potential topics for his thesis.
