Stijn Huitenga
Stijn Huitenga is sporty, musical, and very sociable. Within our team, Stijn is also known as our "Mister Deadline." He serves as the Project Manager of our team, and his primary responsibilities include ensuring that all 25 team members, each with different roles and backgrounds, work cohesively toward the same objective and stay aligned.
Among his duties are planning, ensuring that all deadlines are met, and keeping everyone well-informed about our progress at each stage of our project. Stijn has a talent for making people laugh, instilling enthusiasm for the project and their work, and he maintains strong discipline. Additionally, he is good at explaining the plans for the upcoming year in a clear manner, striking a good balance between seriousness and informality. He chose this role because he was drawn to its broad scope and he enjoys the challenge of staying informed about the activities of each department and takes responsibility for addressing setbacks to ensure we can still achieve our team goals.
Stijn did the Bachelor Clinical Technology, but during that program, he missed the opportunity to work on a large-scale project focused solely on medtech innovation. He believes that medtech innovation is the most fascinating form of innovation and appreciates the human aspect it incorporates. That is also the reason he choose Project MARCH.
His personal goal for the year is to learn how to collaborate effectively with people from diverse academic backgrounds, roles, and personalities, and to develop risk management skills while always having a plan B in place.
